Job Title : Mainframe Developer
Location : Phoenix, AZ (Day 1 Onsite)
Mode of interview : In person (F2F)
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in application development, maintenance, and support, along with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications.
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Develop and enhance applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Perform unit testing, defect fixing, and production support.
- Troubleshoot application issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during development and deployment.
- Prepare technical documentation and follow coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Experience with VSAM, IMS, and TSO/ISPF.
- Knowledge of Mainframe utilities such as IDCAMS, SORT, and File Manager.
- Experience in batch processing and online transaction processing.
- Familiarity with version control and change management tools such as Endevor or Changeman.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Retail domains.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of API integration or Mainframe modernization initiatives is an added advantage.
Experience: 4–10+ years
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
